Summer Technology Courses

This summer we’ll be offering two technology courses for credit or points:

Online Classrooms & Collaboration (2 credits)
This new class will help you prepare to use Moodle with students. Not only will the course cover the nuts and bolts of setting up a Moodle environment, you’ll get your online class ready for students. This course has one face-to-face session on August 5th and the rest is conducted online through August. When September comes, your classroom will be ready with discussions and assessments.

Summer Technology Academy (1 or 2 credits)
This course changes each year and offers flexibility for grade levels and interests. This year’s offerings:

  • June 9: Podcasting and Multimedia
  • June 10: Making the Most of Your Projector (slide shows, online resources, etc.)
  • June 11: Creating Web Pages
  • June 12: Online Classrooms & Collaboration (Moodle, Wikis, Web 2.0)

Select two days to create your own one-credit course or select all four days for two credits.

These credits apply toward the required three credits in technology integration for all DeForest Viterbo cohort members. Each credit is $90 and is payable on the first day of class.

For more information, check out the Summer 2008 Courses flyer.
