Technology Tip #33

You can decide how you’d like your screen to look when it comes to resolution. If you have to scroll left and right when viewing web pages, you might want to change your screen resolution. If you think those icons are just too big, you might want to change it. Here’s are two ways to change your screen view:

More permanent:

  1. Right click anywhere on your desktop—as long as it’s not on an icon or button.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Click on the Settings tab.
  4. You’ll see a section for Screen Resolution.
  5. Drag the slider to the left or right to adjust your resolution.
  6. To test it out, click Apply. You’ll get a few moments to be sure that it suits your needs.
  7. When you find the resolution you like, click OK.

Temporary:

  1. Press and hold the CTRL key.
  2. Scroll up and down with your mouse to zoom in and out.
