Technology Tip #34

We haven’t had a Tuesday Tip in some time, so this one includes a few quick suggestions for quick navigation:

  1. Want to get back to your desktop or hide the windows you’re working with? Press the Windows key + D . . . everything moves to the task bar. Press Windows + D again and they return.
  2. On the web, press the spacebar to move down one page at a time. Press Backspace to go back one page.
  3. To maximize (or minimize) any window, double click on the blue bar at the top.
  4. Instead of using the mouse to highlight text, use the SHIFT + Arrow keys. Go left, right, up, or down. This combination works if you’ve highlighted too much or too little and is much easier for little hands.
