Groupwise 8

Good morning! We’ve had changes in servers over a couple of weekends. With those changes, we have some other improvements . . . Groupwise. If you’ve ever logged into Groupwise on other machines and noticed a different version, that’s about to change.

Tomorrow morning, you’ll have a new Groupwise icon on your desktop. When you double click on that new icon, the new version of Groupwise will install. You’ll put in your password as usual.  In each of the many tests we’ve done, settings were preserved.

You might notice that the icon looks a little different, but besides that most buttons and tools will be in the same old places. There is a nice feature in each message: a “Discussion Thread” tab. Click on that and you can see all of the messages in the thread–very handy.

One thing you might like to change is the Favorites pane/window that shows up on the left. It’s easy to get rid of–click the arrow to the right of “Online”–here’s a visual. Click on that arrow circled in red and uncheck Favorites.
