9-1: Where We’re At

Good morning! This morning, DAHS and DAMS should notice that Office 2010 is available. The remaining schools will see it arriving throughout the day. You will still have access to Office XP too, so there’s time to get comfortable with the new version. When you go to Start, you’ll see Microsoft Office AND Microsoft Office XP . . . new and old favorite. Use either one. If you need Publisher, you’ll see that in the Microsoft Office choice.

Wireless: It looks like our wireless installation will be completed in about 10 days or so. You’ll notice that it is available, so use it. There is one caveat for staff though. You might encounter sites that don’t work properly. That’s a security thing in place while the wireless network is in this open state. That won’t be how it works when the integration is complete.

Our beloved Central Copy request will be back early next week. I’m asking a few people to test it out. If you’re interested, please let me know.
