Network News: 9-7

Here’s a quick update on some issues we’re addressing or noticing:

  • You’ll see Treasures and Everyday Math software in the morning. It’s being sent to machines this afternoon.
  • YouTube issues should be resolved for staff.
  • Student account cards for grades 1-6 have been distributed. (There is an exception for some 3rd graders at WES, but those will be delivered tomorrow.)
  • We still have a pretty big to do list. Some of the items we’re working on include those programs used for classes (Programming, Keyboarding, Yearbook, CAD).
  • The accounts for Google and Moodle are all done for students in grades 3-12. If you need these accounts in the next few days, please contact me and I’ll get you what you need.
  • Here and there, students might log in and they don’t have an H drive. Logging out and logging back in fixes this issue.
  • Mike and Chase are making rounds to address sound issues. This task will take some time. As a reminder, there are a couple of things you can check. In some cases, cabling might be undone and, in that case, we’ll take care of it.
  • If you have one of the older Qomo document cameras, you may not need the software loaded. Is there a cord from your document camera to your dvd/vcr? If so, it might just be a matter of changing the input on your projector remote.
  • I’ll have more news about the completion of our wireless projects soon. It is there for use, but in its “unfinished” state, you’ll notice more filtering than normal.
  • Please contact me with questions or issues I haven’t covered here.
